Our boat ‘Discovery’ is maintained to a very high standard. There is a custom-built dive and swimmer lift on the stern complete with access gate and controls, which is ideal to help swimmers and divers in and out of the water.
Stainless steel handrails around the boat make it easy to walk around and take in the marvellous views of Carlingford Lough, Narrow Water, Cooley Mountains, Mourne Mountains, Greenore and the majestic Hawlbowline Lighthouse.
Carlingford Lough and the surrounding area is a small pocket of inspiring landscapes, that must be explored. To connect with nature is to connect with yourself, and the sea is a place with immense power to bring you back there. A trip through the lough showcases the wondrous surroundings whilst captivating your curiosity for the sea and the history of times past. You will come away from this experience with lovely memories and a great insight into this ancient region.
Founded by Dundalk couple Marie and Paddy Agnew, Carlingford Lough Sea Tours is an accumulation of years of experience and passion for the water. With spectacular views of the Cooley and Mourne Mountains, the Lough is a beautiful corner of the of Irelands Ancient East (link) with infinite tales from the past. It was for this reason that Marie and Paddy decided to setup Carlingford Lough Sea Tours. Our natural wonders should be accessible for all of us, with the opportunity to enjoy all that our wonderful country has to offer.
Our 10 x 5.5 meter Blyte Catamaran holds a Department of Transport P3 License along with a UK MCA Cat 2license (up to 60 miles offshore).
We have a custom-made seating area on the deck with 10 stainless steel fishing rod rests built in, and storage inside for any accessories you may need whilst out at sea. Discovery has an over head canopy with sides that can be rolled up in summer and enclosed in the winter with space for shelter.
